AMI Story

AMI Memorials - Canada-s premier Aboriginal memorial company - was established in 2006 by Joseph Bear.

Joseph is a member of Ochapowace First Nation, which has a reserve near the Qu'Appelle Valley in Saskatchewan. He worked in the memorial industry for more than 10 years, and saw the need for a company dedicated to dignifying the lives and legacies of Aboriginal people.

AMI Memorials helps Aboriginal people preserve memories of their loved ones, leaders and role models, in a culturally sensitive manner. We understand that the healing process is different for Aboriginal people.

AMI Memorials is an Aboriginal-owned and controlled firm, created in a unique partnership with Remco Memorials, which has more than 80 years experience in the industry.

Through this partnership AMI offers a full range of personalized memorial products and services to families who want to honour the life and memory of a loved one.
